Sophie B. Hawkins 1967-ben született New York Manhattan negyedében. Nevében a B. a Ballantine rövidítése. Nagyon tehetséges dalszerző, jó énekes és hitvalló biszexuális. Több dala megjárta az US TOP 100-at is.
Az 1994-ben Whaler címmel megjelent második albumát évekkel ezelőtt Tünde lányomtól kaptam ajándékba, ezúton is köszönet érte.
