Fiatalkorom egyik nagy kedvence a Clff Richard kísérőzenekaraként is ismert Shadows együttes volt.
Két meghatározó egyénisége a szólógitáros Hank Marvin és a ritmusgitáros Bruce Welch voltak. Dobosuk 1962-től Brian Bennett volt, a basszusgitáros posztján azonban elég nagy volt a jövés-menés: 1959-80 között Jet Harris , Brian Locking, John Rostill, John Farrar, majd Alan Tarney fordultak meg a zenekarban.
2006-ban négy CD-n kiadták az együttes 1959 és 1980 között megjelent valamennyi kislemezét.
