1971-ben Birmingham-ben az éppen széthulló Locomotive együttes basszusgitárosa és dobosa The Dog That Bit People névvel rövid életű zenekart alapít, s elkészítik egyetlen nagylemezüket.
Azt, hogy az EMI a teljesen ismeretlen együttes lemezét kiadta, valószínűleg csak a megszűnt Locomotive nevének, ismertségének köszönhető.
