Judy Roderick – Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues (1964) Columbia Records

Judy Roderick

Judy Roderick (1942-1992) amerikai énekesnő 22 évesen készítette első, Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues című lemezét, melyre évekig vadásztam, míg végre sikerült ráakadnom.

A lemezt a szakma nagy lelkesedéssel fogadta.
“Judy Roderick: Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues is a striking debut by an early twentyish girl folk singer with an obviously strong sense of blues style. Her phrasing, drive and vocal control take her on a frequently soaring exploration of sophisticated blues…Miss Roderick is an obviously important new talent and we should be hearing a lot more from her and about her.” – írta a lemez megjelenésekor Robert Shelton a New Yort Times-ban.
Sajnos a szakma lelkesedése nem volt elég a sikerhez.
